Variable Imaging

VARIABLE IMAGING:
Pointil Systems utilizes a variety of variable imaging capabilities including: in-line ion deposition, in-line 4 color thermal transfer, off-line laser, and off-line thermal transfer. Programming is performed on PC platforms with multiple file creation programs based upon print platform used.

1. high-speed in-line variable imaging:
Two production lines provide high-speed in-line variable imaging over 300PPM. Roll, continuous fanfold, and cut sheet products are available. Print resolution is 300DPI. Imaging is black.

2. four color in-line variable imaging:
Four color digital and variable imaging is available on roll, continuous fanfold, and cut sheet products. Maximum image width is 8.5". Print Resolution is 300 DPI. Nearly any substrate can be utilized, however, coated or smooth uncoated stocks perform better. Over-laminating, die-cutting, and other treatments are available.

3. high-speed off-line nonimpact variable imaging::
Off line laser imaging is available up to high-resolution 1200 DPI format. Any sheet size up to 17" x 11" can be imaged in simplex or duplex format. MacIntosh and/or PC files can be utilized and even merged. Multiple data files can be merged, including graphics, text, and sequential or random numeric files. Any font, size, and orientation is available. Heavy stocks can be duplexed. Four programmable trays can be utilized to interleaf multiple stocks into books and pre-collated sets.

FONTS:
Almost any font can be imaged. Some fonts result in better print quality than others, especially at very small or very large point sizes. Bold, italic, and mono-spaced fonts are available. Multiple fonts can be used simultaneously.

SIZES:
Charicter sizes vary with each font style. Typically a range of 6 point to 10" is availible. Maximum document size is 10" wide per page and 32" long per page. Maximum variable data size in 8.2" wide per page and 22" long per page. Maximum static printing os 10" wide and 32" long per page.

ORIENTATION:
0.90,180, 270 degree orientations are available in single or multiple orientation use. Mirror orientation is available.

FILES:
Variable data files can be transferred via disk, CD-ROM, modem, or email/internet. Onsite file creation is available
